The Deputy Minister of Higher Education and Training, Dr Mimmy Gondwe says there must be strong partnerships between institutions of higher learning and stakeholders such as businesses and municipalities, to ensure students are immediately absorbed into the workplace after they graduate.
She spoke to Capricorn FM News on Wednesday after her two-day visit to Technical and Vocational Education and Training institutions and Community Education and Training (CET) institutions in Limpopo this week.
She says among the key issues raised during her visit at the Mopani TVET Sir Val Duncan campus in Ba-Phalaborwa, was the lack of accredited off-campus student accommodation, non-payment of outstanding NSFAS funds since 2024 as well as appeals.
